YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foudation

YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foudation

Hey Luvvies,
So I have been on a foundation kick lately and as some of you may have seen on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/macaholic22, I featured the newest YSL foundation Le Teint Touche Eclat. I was matched with the shade Beige Dore 70 and its a perfect match for my skin.  For reference I am a MAC NC50. This foundation comes in 17 shades with warm, neutral and cool undertones (Beige, Beige Dore and Beige Rose). The packaging is classic YSl  encased in a glass bottle with its gold accents that I love so much.

The Foundation is  a liquid formula and it blends like a dream without much effort. The texture is very lightweight and it covers without feeling like a mask. Personally I get a full coverage as I dont have much to conceal. I find that there is no need to use a concealer under my eyes or to apply a finishing powder. I would say that this foundation has more of a semi-matte finish and I adore the subtle glow and freshed faced look. It works perfectly for my dry skin and I recieved 9 hours of wear with this foundation.

Final Thoughts:
I think that this foundation is totally amazing. I love the extended range of colors  and the detail to difffernt undertones. Its a weightless formula with an illuminating finish. YSL's Le Teint Touche Eclat retails for $55 each.

YSL TOUCHE ECLAT RADIANT TOUCH

                       YSL TOUCHE' ECLAT RADIANT TOUCH

YSL Touche Eclat is not so much a concealing product as it is a brightening/highlighting product. Despite of what you may have heard, this will not conceal dark spots from acne or hide redness. Touche eclat will however luminize your face, leaving you looking fresh, well rested and ready to take on the day.
I must admit that using the product for the first time I didnt not see a big difference and was all set to return it. I started getting complements of how fresh my face looks in the morning and after taking a mirror out in natural day light I saw the light reflecting on the areas that I had placed the product. It looks very natural and non forced, as if coming from within.

I love to use the touche eclat under my eyes after applying concealer, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow. However it can be used alone which I do on hot summer days or on the days when I feel like being lazy or going for the natural look, remember this does not conceal so use alone at your own risk or if you have perfect or close to perfect skin. I apply it straight from the pen using my fingers to blend it  into my skin. I find that this technique works best for me. It goes on sheer but blends smoothly and I really like the fact that it doesnt sink into fine lines under the eyes.

There is currently 12 different shades available on YSL's website and on the Sephora website. I currently own shade 4 Luminous Toffee.Touche Eclat is priced at $40 each. Must have? maybe not but it works for me and  if you have a passion for all things YSL like myself its definitely worth giving it a try.

MUST HAVE: GUERLAIN TERRACOTTA BRONZER

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powders comes in 8 shades, ranging from 00-08. I currently own the shades 07 and 08. I use 07 as an all over face bronzing powder and 08 for contouring.

These bronzers are finely milled, lightweight, longlasting, moisturizing, pigmented and goes on buttery smooth. It has a subtle glow and gives off a natural looking tan. In the pan it appears to have a lot of shimmer but looks are decieving. They blend easily with a semi-matte finish that leaves you looking sunkissed.

If you are sensitive to scents, which i'm not, this may not be your first choice because it has a voilet fragrance as all Guerlain products do.

                                          No Flash: L-R 07, 08

Guerlain Terracotta bronzers are the only bronzing products I will ever need in life. No need to look further this is my Holy grail bronzer.

BLUSH OF THE DAY (NARS LIBERTE')

As described by Nars, Liberte' is a burnished apricot color. It is not completely matte because of its slight sheen finish. I would describe it as more of a semi matte. The shimmer is very subtle on the cheeks and is almost unnoticeable a first glance but gorgeous non the less.

Liberte is flattering on warmer skin tones, and very brown girl friendly. For my darker beauties, depending on the look that you are trying to achieve you can afford to be a bit more generous in application but for fairer skin beauties a lighter application is needed but its a matter of personal choice.

As always Nars blushes are very pigmented and the best tool for application is a duo fiber or fluffy blush brush.

Nars blushes are $27 blushes each. Check it out ASAP as Liberte' is a limited edition with the summer 2012 collection. You can get Nars blushes at Sephora or on the Nars website or profession studio.

MAKEUP FOREVER HD MICROFINISH BLUSH #2

Hey  Loves,
So yesterday I decided to shop my stash and rediscovered a Makeup Forever blush that I totally forgot about. It is the Microfinish hd blush in #2 "caught in the act". I got excited all over again and cannot wait for the fall to to start wearing it.

Caught in the act is a bright rapberry color. According to sephora's website, " HD Microfinish blush combines mattifying and reflecting powders to create a soft focus effect for a radiant complexion, its ultra fine, second-skin texture blends seamlessly, imparting a healthy glow thats hard not to notice".

This blush does exactly what it claims. I have always loved cream blushes because they tend to leave a more natural finish with a glow. This blush is no different and blends in really well. It leaves a glow that appears to be coming from within the skin, unlike some powder blushes that seem to just sit on top of the skin.

A little goes a longway because of its intense pigmentation. I suggest starting with a little and slowly build the color to get the desired effect. I like to use my fingers to apply this blush to my cheeks, and then using a stippling brush to blend the color out.You must work quickly as it tends to set rapidly. If desired you can top this blush with a complementary powder blush for a more vibrant and longlasting effect although I dont think that would be necessary. I wore this blush for 9 hours and experienced no fading so I can safely say that it is very longlasting.

M.U.F.E blushes comes in an array of 14 colors and cost $26 each.
There is one downside to these blushes which are the pumps. There is not much control of how much blush comes out and no matter how careful you are, you end up with more than you need. Wasteful much!! However the color pay off is so worth the trouble. You can get Makeup Forever Hd Miicrofinish blushes on Sepohora's website and at Makeup Forever professional boutiques.
